New Year, New Theatre

2026 has been off to a great start so far, and by a great start, I mean the opportunity to work on two new plays by incredible playwrights. Super honored to be creating new projects with artists that I admire. Thanks to everyone involved in getting these shows on their feet and keeping new theatre alive in NYC!!

America’s Next Top Ultimate Supreme Goddess by Paige Esterly and directed by Mackenna Goodrich explores female friendship, ambition, and exploitation, and what our society asks of our women. In this pilot season, 8 girls compete for the title, as well as the fame, wealth, and power that come with it, undergoing increasingly brutal challenges in their quest to come out on top.

GAY HAMLET by Riley Elton McCarthy, featuring original music by McCarthy and Eliana Shira Rubin, and directed by Emilio Ramos, is a new spin on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy. The comedy follows a lovesick Horatio returning home to Copenhagen... where he finds his childhood crush still emo, his girl-crush hot… and complicated, and the whole "to be or not to be" thing suddenly very bi-curious. Home is where the heartbreak is. A modern-day adaptation of Hamlet by a modern-day Danish playwright, production describes it as a “love letter to queer Copenhagen.”
