On-Set September
TikTok soap operas have taken over the world’s social media feeds—and now, I’m part of the craze. I’ve been talking about them a ton in the past few weeks because I was cast in my first major supporting role on screen! These soap operas are called verticals, and you’ve probably seen one even if you didn’t know what it was. The episodes are all about 90 seconds, and there are usually people screaming at each other, a shirtless guy, kidnappings, and some situations that seem slightly incestuous. Oh, and the women are more often than not decked out in a three-piece set of costume jewelry (or at least I was). In the crazy world that we live in, who doesn’t want to spend a few minutes escaping into some of the wildest dialogue that makes your life seem like a walk in the park?
The show is Bound by My Fiancé’s Uncle, streaming exclusively on DramaWave soon. Crazy title for even crazier drama. I’d try to explain the plot, but I’d need a police evidence board to link it all together. You’ll just have to watch to know. But I play Daisy Wurth, Xavier’s ex-fiancée, who will do anything to get the new girl out of the picture. She’s an iconic villain, so I wore a lot of red dresses. We shot all 88 episodes in just 8 days—a whirlwind week that kept us on our toes. I’m grateful that I was able to work with such an amazing cast and crew for my first vertical! And I think I need a week or two to re-regulate my sleep schedule.
